Answer:I keep my bichon frise clipped short because of the climate (charleston, sc) and because he is still young and gets in all sorts of mess. He loves rolling in the dirt and grass. I use shampoo for sensitive skin. My dogs love to chew so I keep plenty of healthy things to chew and have removed all tempations. He once ate a red rag that was in the neighbor's yard. So keep the yard and the house safe. That will keep him safe. You are doing great.
