Latest Bichon Frise Frequently Asked Questions:
hi I don't have a Bichon Frise, but I might buy one, what do you do with your Bichon Frise? I heard it needs special care in grooming, is it hard to handle when grooming? I comb my friend's Shih Tzu many times. What do you do to care for yours? Is it difficult to remove the dirt if it gets matted? would you prefer a Maltese or a Bichon Frise? Also how big or small is their waste?
Answer:A Bichon Friese is precious darling little dogger who requires special attention in every form especially the cuddle and grooming category... Our was 16 years old and just went to puppy heaven...We loved her so much and miss her terribly even though it's been a year... she was so cute, quite the comedian, she slept on the bed, loved car rides and playing with our other 3 dogs and kitty.... If you have time to love her alot..make her part of your family..cuddle with her and walk her 4 times a day... then she's the one.. If your life is TOO BUSY a Bichon isn't the kind of dog who can Wait long hours of time to sit home alone....

Like the show cuts that the Bichon Frise's have in dog shows? There all little fully fur balls and so adorable. Do I have to go to a special groomers to get this done? How much will it cost?
Answer:I have been specializing in grooming only Bichons for over 20 years. I have done show trims on my dogs and pet trims on my customers dogs . Yes, you do have to go to a professional groomer for your dog's hair cut. I don't know how old your dog is, but if it is a puppy you must start as soon as possible. It is better for the dog to start at around 14 to 16 weeks, so that they can get used to it, all the noises and sissors etc. This is a high maintenance breed for grooming and you want your dog to enjoy his grroming not fear it. The cost is around $50
I have a bichon frise for about 4 days and we need to give her a bath but How often do you give a bichon a bath? Some websites said once a week and others said if they are bathed more than twice a month there skin will dry and cause some type of rash or whatever.
Answer:Bath once a month, groom (brush fur) once a week. Her skill will dry if you bath any more than the regular month.
