We have 2 Border Terriers Jazz and Bonnie, 3yrs old. We have never had a litter of pups, does anyone have any tips. We have no idea what to expect. Jazz will possibly also come into season soon too, is it a good idea to also mate with her too and have 2 litters at the same time?
Answer:2 litter at once is , to much work. Your female should be checked by the vet at 6 weeks along. Research whelping & learn as much as you can. learningtobreed.com would be a great start. At 7 weeks along , I'd take her temp. Most have a temp drop below 99 & will whelp within 24 hours. Please work closely with your vet... for the health of mom & her puppies. Please find a breeder that knows the Border Terrier well before doing this again. Breeding dogs is more complicated then putting a male & female together.
I am thinking about either stripping or clipping my Border Terrier, but my Border Terrier is a bit of a wimp so will it hurt her?

Can I get my Border Terrier KC registered if her mum is not KC registered but her dad is? If yes where? how? n how much money will it cost?
Answer:If you bought the dog from a breeder and it was sold to you as KC registered you should have been given a KC registration document. If not ask why not. Its the breeders responsibility to register the pups and pay the fee to the KC.
I live in Perth Western Australia and know of a litter of Border Terrier pups that will be due very soon, How much should I expect to pay for one of these puppies?
Answer:1=QUALITY or BYBd crap? #2=A good AKC reg. Border goes for $1500 +/- here;extrapolate into you own currency. I'm on my 3rd. & have handled trained & hunt/worked,etc. & JUDGED dozens. &...BTs are NOT dumped in pounds!

Answer:you know how people want another dog after they always have one? well with a border you'll never want another pet in your life! They are great with other animals, though. i know that because i have one! it is a gem! a diamond! you'll never see one in a Pound because everyone loves them SO much. GREAT choice! I do know a great breeder that gave us our border terrier! she is great. She has no kids so borders are her main purpose!
