  • Is it possible for a Boston Terrier to physically give birth to Pitt Bull Puppies?
My mothers Boston Terrier female accidentally got out while in heat and was bred by a Pitt Bull. Just want to make sure she can physically give birth to them.
Answer:a lot of boston terriers need C-sections.. odds are good that although nature will ensure the pups are not to large for her from another breed.. physically we have changed boston terriers enough that in a considered "normal" for them to need c-sections even with Boston to boston litters.. this is a breed that often cannot whelp without assistance.. If you really want the pups.. make a appt and disuss the possiblity of needing a c-section with your vet.. and recommended vet care..or you can have her spayed now if she was just bred.. and have no intrest in breeding her in the future. • how much food should a boston terrier eat daily?
Right now my boston terrier just free-feeds, but I want to start feeding him at scheduled times. How much food should I feed and how many times? Also, how can I start feeding him at schedules times without him going hungry for a little while? He weighs about 25 lbs.
Answer:Depends on how much he weighs andthe quality of food you are feeding him. Dry dog foods have feeding guides somewhere n the bag. Look at yours to find out. And a cup of food is the type of measuring cup you would measure ingredients to cook with. Not a large glass.

  • Where can I find a Boston Terrier puppy for sale in Northern Ohio?
I am looking for a Boston Terrier puppy to buy (less than $800) that's around 8 weeks old. No puppy mills please! I have used petfinders and adopted in the past with terrible luck. I have contacted five different vets in my area and no one has any names. Want to purchase for less than $800 and NO PUPPY MILLS!
Answer:I suggest that you contact your Vet or if you don't have one check with friends about their vets and contact them. You can ask them if they suggest any breeders. I am from NE Ohio but am unsure of any breeders for you. Stow OH Watch the local papers

  • How can I get my Boston Terrier to like the water?
I have a 7mo Boston Terrier and he absolutely hates going in the water (pool/ocean). (He'll tolerate taking a bath) What can I do so that he'll like going in the water? I live in So Cal less than 1 mile from the beach, so him liking the water is kinda important to me.
Answer:I have Chihuahua's who love to swim and I don't think that is a breed that would be considered a water dog. We got out the wading pool this summer and filled it to their chest level. Then we started playing with them by throwing their toys in and acting excited and happy when they participated. We were pretty impressed when they began to play in there on their own but this past week we took them to the lake with our big dogs and when we threw in a stick for our Shephard mix he had 4 little dogs racing him for it. We were quite surprised. After that we couldn't keep them out of the water. That was the first time they had volunteered to actually swim though we had taken them there before. I believe it was probably a combination of getting them used to playing in the water (with the wading pool), having another dog show them how and getting them while they were young (all are about 1 year old). I say that if it is important to you, then keep working with your dog....anything is possible.

  • What should I name my new Boston Terrier?
I'm gonna get a new Boston Terrier, but I'm not sure what I should name it. I'm planning on getting a female. I looked at the pictures and they're so cute!! Well please post suggestions on names. Thanks!
Answer:Stormy, Areba, or Lily I have a 13 yr. old boston at home, he's mostly black, and he has a tail, yes he is purebred. I've been trying to convince my dad to buy me a new boston, a female, and ever since like 3 years ago I've wanted to name it Stormy! Enjoy your new puppy!
