Hi, I know that walking a puppy of any breed while bones & joints are still developing can be harmful later in the dogs life but when exactly can I start walking my bullmastiff pup? I won't be running with her, just short gentle walks - but at what age?
Answer:As soon as he/she is fully vaccinated. And then only for shorter walks a 12 week old puppy can go for about a 20 min walk. Good luck!
My bullmastiff is 56 pounds and is just under 5 months.
Answer:Mine is 6 months old and we just came from the vet. He weighs 78 pounds. We feed him a very high protein dog food and he is all muscle.

My family and I are in search for a reliable, honest, caring, Bullmastiff breeder in or near Illinois. I have found some but I have a list of 20 questions that I ask; and when I do ask them, the so called breeders never email me back. My family and I have been looking for almost 6 months and we really would love to add to our family. Please if any one can help we would appreciate! Thanks in advance!! Lisa
Answer:This month at Mc Cormick Place in Chicago the IKC is having their annual Conformation and obedience show. There are many breeders available for questions and that have puppies for sale to the right homes. I would give it a try. It is a benched show so the breeders and handlers will be there all day. The link is for info for the show. http://www.ikcdogshow.com/ Good Luck!!! You will be pleased if you attend many nice looking Bullmastiffs to see.
i have a 4 month old bullmastiff. i'm not going to say what dog food i've been feeding her so far but i worried that it won't be or isn't good enough for her. so i'm looking for suggestions on good, quality, dog food. keep in mind that i do have 3 kids, so it would be nice if it was TOO terribly expensive. thanks!
Answer:Our pets need quality food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. "Vet approved" means they have a vet on staff to approve their product. In other words, someone paid to approve it. Same with foods most vets recommend. Salesmen "gift" vets then the vet recommends the food. Most vets are not nutritionists! Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient Wellness, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available.
