Answer:U have a **small** house, a ** small ** yard, and U think a Canaan is apropos??!! i cannot imagine what research U did - this is a HERDING breed with a strong guarding-streak - they do not tolerate strangers well without * extensive* extra socialization. they are also phenomenally active + need a JOB. who told U that a Canaan dog would fit in an urbarn or suburban life? doing what all day? digging bomb-craters in the yard? (Ur mom + dad will adore that, i'm sure!) barking like an idiot? (way to impress the neighbors, there - i am sure they will love another nuisance barking dog, PLUS one who growls at them if they get too close to the fence - oh, yeah!) PLEASE - re-think this! i am guessing that U are a teenager - between 15 + 18 YO. U will be leaving home soon, and a highly-active, driven breed is NOT an apropos match for empty-nesters who are racking up $$ for retirement, and probably want to have a nice yard, a quiet life, and a COUCH POTATO for a dog. this breed will give them Answer D: None of the Above.
I've seen Cesar(Dog Whisperer) use them on big breeds like Rottweilers and then some herding dogs... Will it tire him out more, or help keep him focused on the path and keep him mentally stimulated? Thanks, Georgie needs something more 'cause 3 mile walks aren't keeping him satisfied. : P
Answer:Any dog who is aprox. as tall as he is long is a good candidate for a doggy backpack. Long backed breeds are the ones who really should not ever have a backpack. The most important thing is to make sure it has a very good fit. Do NOT buy a backpack without trying it on your dog first. Start off with nothing in the back pack. Make sure she's comfortable and well used to it before adding any weight. Always add weight evenly on both sides and start small. Never use more than a third of your dogs total body weight. For some dogs it really does add to the workout. For others, they can still just go on and on forever.
I'm consedering getting one and I want to know if it's right for me. I've taken a few of those online "Which breed is right for you?" quizzes, and that is the most common answer. I'm looking for a dog to basically be around me a lot. Traveling in the car and such. That and something that I can train to stay by me without a leash. Protective is good, but not necessary, and has to be good with animals.

Answer:Vaccination cost vary by the size of the dog not the breed. Just call around to all the vet clinics in your area and ask the costs. People should not be embarrassed to get a good price for those services. The only bad thing would be people not getting any vaccinations.
