Answer:chow's are generally more wild. I have a chow mixed with a retriever, and he is more active than a normal retriever would be. In some ways, he is slightly more violent, but he's pretty young, so he still has time to calm down.

i work in dog grooming, this woman who is a know it all claims that chicken and beef chow mein were named from the fact that back in the day long ago shows were used for work and haouling things. after they arrived the dogs were used for food. she claims, hench the name chicken chow mein. please tell me she is full of it. she is an absolute nut.

Just wondering... I have two new puppies.. They are some kind of chow chow mix. We believe they are German Shepard/chow... They both have VERY different personalities... I am only asking because everyone says Chow's are mean and they will always be mean but I think its how you treat your dogs is they way they are going to act.. Just wondering! My puppies are only 12 weeks old now. We got them when they were about 8 weeks.
Answer:My sister had a full bred chow and she has a half chow half sharpei. The full bred, kept to himself, lived mosty outside. He loved people, only was aggressive to one dog, but indifferent to the others (we have 8 dogs in the family). He was the furthest thing from mean. The mix is just as gentile. Put it this way, by the way her chows acted, you would be surpised to hear that chows are mean! I agree though, it is partially how you raise your dogs. But I just gave you two examples of nice chows raised together. Either that's a strange coincidence or they were just plain raised right :)
