I have a pure breed Chow Chow puppy with no papers, how can I get my dog registerd?
Answer:You have to get the parents papers and contact AKC, UKC, whoever you want to register with. If you dont know who the parents are, the odds that it is a pure bred is slim. You would then have to get genetic testing done, which is EXTREMELY expensive.
I would like to get a black miniature chow chow dog if such a pure breed exists. If you know where I could get a black 'mini' chow please be specific on where I could find one. A male pure breed puppy with all of his shots and paperwork would be preferred. Thanks!
Answer:no i am sorry there is no such breed. perhaps you saw a mixed breed that made the chow half the normal size. Yes chows are cute but did you know that they are very unpredictable and not good with children, I am a prof. dog trainer just thought you would like to know

Answer:You seriously need to do research on Chow Chows before getting one, because they tend to be independent, stubborn, and often very "one-owner" oriented, which can be a problem in a family setting. They can be domineering, and need to be properly socialized. They can be absolutely marvelous dogs. They require a lot of grooming, and because there are some ill-bred Chows out there who have temperament issues, they are included in some breed bans and homeowner policy rate increases. Yes, they're adorable puppies. My chow is an outdoor dog and always has been. When it seems too cold we attempt to bring her in the garage along with our minnie pincher but she refuses.
Answer:chows are for colder weather, just like huskies becuase they have thick fur and a undercoat..your chow is probably trying to tell you that it loves the snow or cold weather...some dogs flourish in it!..short haird breeds such as you pincher should be indoors when the weather is nasty...
