whats your opinion on them? http://www.clumber.org/ifcs/cs_faq.htm hahaha! i don't think i'd call them small considering they can get up to 85lbs!
Answer:I went to a dog show some years ago with my "non dog person roomate". It wasn't that she didn't like dogs, she just wasn't as fascinated by them as I was. She even wandered off and bought a Cosmopolitan magazine to read while I was watching sporting group. Halfway through group judging she looks up, spies a Clumber Spaniel and I swear she screamed "OH! LOOK AT THAT! I DIDN'T KNOW THEY MADE THOSE!!!" Everything went dead silent and I asked her "What?" "LOOK! MINIATURE ST. BERNARDS!!! That was one of my most favourite dog show memories and I still get a good chuckle out of it. Now what do I think about them. They are really big for a spaniel and I was surprised to hear them breathing, because they are really loud when they breath. They look really cute but they are rare and really expensive where I live. You would be really lucky to find a Clumber Spaniel if you wanted one.

Please tell me your experience with the breed. and Thanks.
Answer:Clumber Spaniels are pretty low in registration numbers. The whole time I worked for vets, we never had one come in! Even at some of the larger dog shows I have attended there are usually very few entered. They are known for being a 'calmer' spaniel & a good hunting companion for older hunters, as they have a slower pace. I am surprised they have never gotten more popular, as they are quite a handsome & sweet tempered breed. Learn more about the breed by going to www.akc.org & find the closest breed club's chapter...who knows, if you are lucky you may have one close enough to where you live that you could attend a meeting!
I am getting quite attached to this breed, and I was wondering what they're like to live with. Are there any Clumber Spaniel owners out there? I would like to know what people who have any have to say about their Clumber(s).
Answer:I have a 3-year old Clumber and she is a joy!! I have 4 dogs, all inside and the Clumber is well socialized with all of them. She loves all dogs, gets along great with children, and is a wonderful dog. She can appear to be aloof with strangers. A few things to be aware of---Clumbers shed constantly, they can be quite destructive chewers, especially as puppies. there are several health concerns in the breed, although much improvement has been made in the breed in the past few years. And the amount of shedding can't be emphasised enough! When you have a Clumber, you have white hair everywhere--on your clothes , in your food--not a dog for neat-freaks. If you decided a Clumber is the right dog for you, please be patient in your search as they are relatively rare and there are many puppy mills out there looking only to make a quick buck, with no thought on the health of the puppies they are selling.lots of good info on the clumber web site.Hope this helps and good luck to you!!
