I have purchased two cocker spaniel puppies (male and female) from the same litter and need advise on how to best raise them.
Answer:My understanding is that one should never have 2 dogs from the same littler- I think it has to do with the dominance factor as well as if they should mate. I am assuming you are getting both or one fixed. Dog training will help with both of them although you would need an extra person to work with one of the dogs. then when you are in training talk to the trainer. they can give you tips and advice on their personalities, a cockers traits and how to handle any problems that may arise. Answer:Get your dog spayed!(Just Kidding, that's the answer I always get whenever I ask a dog question) Wait until she is at least 18 months to 2 years old so that her body is strong enough. Don't listen to all the bleeding hearts on here..they don't understand that most people want a healthy puppy to raise like they want and not a full grown dog with all kinds of health problems you can get from the pound. If you are wanting a offspring from your dog make sure you can find good homes for the rest of the litter before she gets pregnant. My mother wanted a puppy from my rat terrier. I put an ad in the local newspaper(for free) just to see if I could give them away...I got like 50 calls for them. I told them the puppies were all gone..After she had her litter..I put an ad for real and they all good homes by the end of the day.

Answer:None, If a cocker spaniel produces pomeranian puppies, then it's not a cocker spaniel If your cocker spaniel has been mated to a pomeranian, then the puppies will not be poms and you need to get your dog spayed!
I have just move my mom cocker spaniel puppies from Indiana to Illinois they are house broken. But since the move My male dog has gone in the house and when I take him outside he refuses to go. No matter how long I make him stay outside. Help Please!
Answer:i have had dog problems like this before. you want to take them out side every hour (half an hour if they are puppys) and make them stay there till they go. reward him if he does (he may need bribing). you also want to take them on walks everyday that makes them happy and they might use it then. also try going to a doggy park and play ball or somthing with him or let it play with other dogs. later on take another dog with you and make him learn he is not dominate. also even if he is not potty trained with that i would still take all you dogs on walks everyday. make them on 20-60 min. walks. but you must keep on him. if he uses the bathroom inside spank him (not badly just so he knows what he did and don't hurt it please [some people get out of hand]) and show him what he did (im not telling you to sick his head in there just show him). you want to tell him "no" in a voice a little louder than normal. some you need to be strict with. they'll eventually learn. and if it is a puppy maks a wall that he can't jump over and break and put him in a corner ( mainly hard tiled floor easy to clean). do not make it to big of a space and don't roof it make him sleep there. if it is a bigger dog put it in a cage that has bars and it won't use the bathroom where it sleeps. you may want to wake up at an earlyier time or wake them up sooner than normal if it is a bladder problem. you dont want to get to mad at him but make sure he knows. hope i helped. if you need anymore indo just ask. p.s. it might take a few days or longer but it is worth it. and buy cleaner that get rid of everything like smell stains and ect it will help. don't just use watter or bleach ( bleach sometimes but it doesn't always work) or just dry it up. again hope i helped. mudbud

Answer:8 weeks is the best age to do it. In some states and provinces its illegal to sell puppies under the age of 8 weeks.
