Answer:Well, the English toy doesn't have any retrieving instinct left, whereas the Cavalier can still be coaxed into behaving like a true spaniel.

Answer:I really wish I could help you. I have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, male and female, brother and sister. They have been spayed and neutered. I didn't think there was much difference between the two except that the King Charles was the first one bred and then the Cavalier with the longer nose was bred. I would think that they both have the same laid back, sweet disposition, easy with both adults and children personalities. We absolutely adore our two and they think they are are children. Have you tried to Google the King Charles Spaniel, that may give you lots of sites to look at. Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Answer:They are a very loyal loving dog to their owners. They are aloof around strangers, but will usually warm up to them after awhile. I have had this breed for 5 years and wouldn't have another. I currently have 4 adults and our first litter born Sept.27.08 of 4 girls. They are pretty low maintenance as far as grooming. They do shed and should be brushed at least once a week to cut down on hair and prevent tangling. As far as price it varies for show or pet and by breeders. With the economy like it is I think people aren't buying dogs as much. I will try to sell my girls for $950 pet price and show is about double. I've seen anywhere from $800 for pets and up.
