If so can you tell me a little about your dog and its own personality!? I really would like to know about your individual dogs personalities as i have read so many breed descriptions and they all say the same. I just wondered if any owners of these breeds have funny little stories to tell of them.
Answer:I Love My Pets, Ibizan Hounds are from Ibiza in Spain, not egypt. Ibizans are known for being rather loud compared to other sighthounds. They are escapologists and can EASILY jump over a 5 foot fence. They are counter surfers meaning they will eat any bit of food left out on the counters. They are playful and can be silly. They need exercise in the form of free running in a safe fenced yard. If not in a safely fenced yard they will escape or run away and not come back, no matter how much you scream and call for the dog.
I'm going to get one. I have fallen in love with them :) I finally got to meet 3 of them and they are such sweet dogs. I love hearing things about them. Can anyone give me any tips about the "bad" behaviors and habits of Beezers? Anything that could possibly be considered bad.
Answer:Prey drive and being a sighthound. The have a high prey drive and will chase and potentially kill smaller animals. Also, they are sighthounds and that needs Special care. ALWAYS on a leash and collar. NEVER allowing them in an unsecured area. Taking EXTRA precautions with them so that they never get loose.

I live in Michigan and don't know anyone else who has one... just curious if you do or if anyone you know does, and where in the country you live (city/state) - my breeder says there are roughly 20 breeders in the US who even have them so I wonder how rare we Ibizan owners are??
Answer:They aren't "rare" - uncommon would be more accurate. I was just at a dog show this weekend & saw several Ibizan hounds. I have a Collie friend who has one. I live in Florida & so does my friend with the Ibizans.
