This is an expensive business !! and since I have retired all cost need culling !! I have tried sizzors and both she and I get fed up ... anyone recomend any clippers that do not cost a fortune and are safe ??
Answer:Hi, I use the same clippers on my dogs, that I use on my husband, children and brother! They are all made the same way, why buy "special" clipper made for dogs, when you can pick up a set for less than £10 at any supermarket?
Answer:does the dog sleep outside? if so, then this is a simple thing to fix. bring the dog inside w/the rest of his pack (you and your family). dogs are PACK animals, they are not meant to be alone. if he barks while inside the house, this could be boredom. i would suggest a VERY long walk for him before bedtime, and crate training.
I do and he's absolutly fantastic. He has mental's and its so funny to watch! I just wondered if anyone else has got one silimar!
Answer:I see a lot of border lakelands in my line of work, and have to say they are some of the nicest dogs around - small but 'proper' dog in temperament rather than a handbag dog. I have a border and in my completely unbiased opinion she's the best dog in the world! A bit dim and rather loud at times but so affectionate and happy either going on long, muddy walks or curled up at home.
Does any know of any lakeland terrier breeders in the Uk and can you give me any details/info about the breeders? thanks :-)
Answer:Log on to Champdogs UK. You will see a list of Breeders on their website with contact phone numbers etc. Most of the Breeders listed there have their own websites. The Kennel Club also have a website you can look at.
She has not had as much exersize as she should just recently as I am a little unsteady at the moment, but have got the Village kids to take her out once a day, I do not, and cannot afford vets fees, so anyone tell me if it OK or not to give her Cod Liver Oil capsules ??? ( it seems to be working on me !! but only time will tell !!)
Answer:Cod liver oil capsules are fine, also primrose oil is good, also as mentioned by others, Glucosamine is good. All recommended by my Vet, but was told to keep in mind the dog's weight and only give half the amount recommended for humans. Here's a list you might find helpful http://animalsunlimited.net/meds.htm which gives a good guide as to what medicine is OK to use with animals, but you do need to know the weight of your dog.
